Alaska Smokehouse Smoked Wild Salmon is a treasure. Thousands of years ago the Pacific Northwest Native Americans depended on Salmon which influenced their religion, art, politics and economy. After a successful fishing trip, they preserved their Salmon catch by smoking it over Alderwood fires. Our smoked salmon fillets are smoked in the same carefully and time-consuming Native American tradition. Our salmon are caught in Alaska waters and delivered to our Ketchikan smokehouse within days. At the smokehouse they are hand-filleted and soaked in a traditional Native American brine. The salmon is then smoked over Alderwood fires. Finally, each fillet is inspected before it is sealed in a golden foil pouch for freshness and rich flavor. 100% Natural. No preservative. Made in China.

Bought this for my husband and he said it was the best he has ever had. He had me order 2 more, 1 for him and 1 for his Dad. They make a nice gift for someone who likes salmon. Also a great price on Amazon!

I used most of the salmon to create a pasta dish, with an alfredo sauce. My family absolutely LOVED it! We had a lovely green salad and garlic bread to complement the pasta dish. I would recommend this salmon to anyone. What salmon was not used, I snacked on, as I absolutely love salmon!

The smoked salmon was absolutely disgusting. The box is very neat but also put together very poorly in CHINA! I would not recommend buying this. Don't waste your money.

Summary: "As a Gift"
I purchased this item as Christmas gifts for two people on my list who are difficult to buy for. The price was within my alloted budget, and when I purchased two, they were eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping, which is always a big PLUS! The packaging is very attractive and larger than I was expecting (18.5"x7"x2"). Although I have no idea of the quality of the salmon (hence the 4-star rating), if I were to receive this as a gift, I would be pleased. I'd consider buying this item again when I need a gift for under $20.00.

Thought this was grav lox but its really just smoked fish. Tastes awesome but just not what I was expecting.
